Ejaculatory Dysfunction

Men may experience problems with ejaculation and not be quite sure what the problem is.  Ejaculatory dysfunction is complicated and can be divided into four categories:

  • Premature ejaculation (PE)
  • Delayed ejaculation
  • Retrograde ejaculation (ejaculation occurs in the bladder)
  • Anejaculation/anorgasmia (no orgasm)

Treatment

  • Premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation and retrograde ejaculation may be treated with medical therapy.
  • Ejaculation associated with certain conditions may require electroejaculation, which stimulates ejaculation.  That semen can then be used for diagnostic semen analysis or Assisted Reproductive Techniques.

Our physicians in the Male Fertility and Sexuality Group at Chesapeake Urology Associates are specialty trained in treating ejaculatory dysfunction and can offer sympathetic, practical and convenient solutions for male sexual dysfunction.
