Julio DavalosJulio Davalos, M.D., Director of Chesapeake Urology's Kidney Stone Disease Program


Dr. Davalos is one of the Mid-Atlantic region's foremost specialists in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of complex stone disease, including kidney and bladder stones. He focuses on providing comprehensive surgical, medical and preventive care for kidney stones with the treatment goal of rendering patients 100% stone free.   

Dr. Davalos  is one of a few physicians in the nation who utilizes Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for the surgical treatment of large and complex kidney stones. One of the few sighly trained urologists in the region who performs this complex procedure, Dr. Davalos has successfully completed almost 1,000 PCNL surgeries.

As a leader in the field of stone disease, Dr. Davalos has been an investigator in numerous research studies for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones. He has also published articles in multiple medical journals and has presented at national meetings on kidney stone conditions and treatments.

RobinsonMarnie R. Robinson, M.D. 

Dr. Robinson is certified by the American Board of Urology and has a special interest in kidney stone disease. In addition to the surgical management of kidney stone, Dr. Robinson utilizes metabolic evaluation to prevent and treat future stone formation. She has been a principal investigator in numerous research studies and her publications and presentations include the metabolic managment of urinary stone disease as well as urinary stone formation after gastric bypass surgery.

RubensteinJonathan Rubenstein, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Rubenstein practices general urology in addition to having subspecialty training in minimally invasive surgery and the metabolic evaluation and treatment of kidney stones to help patients stay stone free for the long-term. Dr. Rubenstein in certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Vic UberoiViK Uberoi, M.D.

Dr. Uberoi practices general urology and focuses on robotic surgery of the prostate, kidney, ureters and bladder. He specializes in the advanced treatments for large and complex kidney stones including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and also performs retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS). In addition, Dr. Uberoi provides preventive care for patients with kidney stones through medical metabolic management.
